The deep turquoise of the gentle sea, the warm touch of the sand underfoot and the bright rays of the sun illuminating each day. This is scenery straight out of a vacation by the Mediterranean. This atmosphere, conducive to rest and relaxation, was decided to keep in the interior by architects from Interiorsy studio, arranging the interiors of an apartment for a 4-person family.

To keep the interiors bright and cheerful, architects Marta Iglewska and Radoslaw Wojcik opted for white. It is a pure, subtle and timeless color, which like no other illuminates the interiors, bringing peace and harmony to everyday life. However, so that white was not boring and monotonous, it was enlivened with energetic colors and exotic patterns. Turquoise, evoking the clear surface of Mediterranean waters in the bedroom, wallpaper with the motif of exotic birds in the toilet, or palm leaves in the hallway - these are strong stylistic accents with holiday reminiscence. Thanks to them, each of the rooms has acquired a distinctive character. The whole is warmed by wooden accents, adding family coziness to the interiors bathed in white. And the functional character of the interiors is convinced by numerous fixed buildings, discreetly blending into the background.

Social island

But before that could happen, the 90-square-meter apartment in Saska Kepa had to undergo a major change in the development layout itself.

– It was an apartment with as much potential as flaws in the functional layout. A new Zone division and separating an additional bedroom, so that everyone has a place for themselves here - mentions arch. Marta Iglewska of the studio Interiorsy.

So some walls were demolished and a new layout of rooms was delineated. Among them, an open living area decorated in white became the center of home life. The central place here is occupied by a kitchen island, which, being the heart of the interior, also performs social functions. It's the perfect place to spend time together with loved ones - indulging in culinary passions, shared meals, but also long conversations over coffee or playing board games. The island also marks a clear division between the kitchen and lounge areas. The former, with its white, high-gloss lacquered, smooth fronts, blends perfectly into the background, without disturbing the living room atmosphere of the entire interior. The second - with a comfortable sofa in a subdued gray color, allows you to relax for a while after a long, tiring day. A cozy, family atmosphere is created here by a wooden floor laid in a fashionable French herringbone pattern, as well as laths made of the same material decorating the fronts of the island along its entire length. Meanwhile, the elegant nature of the arrangement is emphasized by elements made of white marble. Both wood and stone also bring a touch of luxury and chic, while colorful accessories add to the overall animation.

Equally bright and spacious is the owners' master bedroom, which the architects spiced up with a good dose of turquoise. The wall in this color is not only eye-catching, but also soothing and calming. Evoking a clear sheet of water, it adds depth and a reflective character to the interior. It's the perfect place to relax, gather your thoughts and gain energy for the next day. The eloquent meaning of turquoise is not disturbed here by the white walls and accessories, nor by the gray upholstered bed with quilted headboard, nor by the capacious wardrobe and work area. On the contrary, they emphasize its overtones, as does the wooden floor, the warmth of which, like the touch of sand underfoot on a distant beach, can be felt every day.

Holiday touches can also be found in the small toilet, whose space, thanks to the mirrored panels, the architects have cleverly multiplied. Mirrors together with pure white optically enlarge the room, also creating interesting design effects. Thanks to the wallpaper with a motif of colorful birds reflected in them, one can feel like on an exotic island here. The main bathroom, on the other hand, is more subdued, which emphasizes its relaxing character. A large, comfortable bathtub with a screen has found a place here, which, in addition to a long bath, also provides a quick, refreshing shower. Smooth surfaces of large-format tiles imitating the color and structure of concrete gently enliven the interior. They were combined with white hexagons, which also decorate the toilet. In this way, the two bathrooms, although separate, form one conceptually coherent arrangement, emphasizing the stylistic discipline of the entire project.
