House F - a project of a well-known design office<\/span><\/h2>\n
\u00a0House<\/strong> F<\/strong> was designed by studio architect Pitsou Kedem and was located on a plot of land in an upscale neighborhood some 20 kilometers east of the center of Israel's Tel Aviv.<\/p>\n
Located on a private property, the house appears upon approach as a monolithic block covered in stone with an adjacent and more permeable openwork and tree structure. Hardened tree-lined paths run from the driveway toward a translucent wooden wall, where doors open onto a secluded courtyard having a lawn in the middle of which trees grow.<\/p>\n

Private courtyard, private contemplation<\/span><\/h2>\n
\"As you walk along the path, as, indeed, along the entrance to the fenced-off areas, you feel clearly how you become part of the process of separation from the outside world, and you can contemplate the moment more and more strongly.\" - they said architects<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
From this point, the house opens up and becomes in the main a series of transparent rooms offering expansive views from the living areas toward further courtyards and gardens further down the road.<\/p>\n

A house in Israel with a modern concept<\/span><\/h2>\nThe private courtyard has an entrance that is lined with transparent walls in the form of curtains. They present a view of the living room<\/strong><\/a> and lobby. Here you'll find an illuminated white staircase leading upstairs with a minimalist balustrade made of stretch cables rising all the way to the upper floor.<\/p>\n

Included in the living room is an open plan space that also includes a dining room and a kitchen<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
Suspended from the ceiling are chandeliers from designer Arik Levy's Vibia collection, which look like cartoon drawings and which accentuate the height of the room.<\/p>\n

Next to the kitchen is another courtyard containing a tree growing out of the gravel ground. A fully glazed corner in the living space creates a unified view of the area outside.<\/p>\n
A wall of windows floods the interior with daylight and frames views of the living room located on the upper floor of the adjacent building housing the bedrooms.<\/p>\n

Interiors that surprise<\/span><\/h2>\n
On the opposite side of the main living room, more expressive glazing overlooks the garden and pool. A stone wall accompanying the interior space extends into the garden, where it is divided into slabs.<\/p>\n
Glass balustrades wrap around the pool so as to provide a protective but still transparent barrier. The gym in the poolside pavilion also features glass surfaces, creating an intermittent connection to the rest of the house.<\/p>\n

House in Israel compared to other modern designs<\/span><\/h2>\n
Savyon is the location where several other buildings designed by Pitsou Kedem designers are also located, including a house consisting of two intersecting buildings for family use and play, and a property equipped with patterned screens through which the patterns found on the chessboard are rendered through the play of shadow and sunlight.<\/p>\n

The property, when compared aesthetically with other Kedem Architects projects, is a typical building. This includes, for example, a Modernist-inspired residence with a supported upper floor, or another house that can be reached over a bridge by moving a garden of lush vegetation.<\/p>\n
