Cresta is a stunning project by Jonathan Segal FAIA & Development Company located in the San Diego region of La Jolla, California, with open space taking center stage.
Breathtaking and extremely luxurious, the residence covers an area of 5,300 square feet. Visually, the house gives the impression of being even larger than it actually is, due to the ground-to-ceiling glass surfaces that have replaced some of the walls, allowing the space to breathe.
As the creators admit, Cresta is more than a simple large residence - it is every architect's dream. It consists of three floors, and the boundaries between the exterior and interior parts seem to disappear here. This is due to the fact that the entire living area is designed in a way that gives it the impression of lightness and transparency.
Most of the inhabited space surrounds an interconnected room, which was called the exterior. It was a key element in the creation of the house, which makes it seem more intimate than it really is.
Despite the complexity of the design, simplicity reigns in the interior. It is dominated by earth colors, shades of gray, white and black. Outside, there was a swimming pool and a large space for outdoor relaxation.
