Tama is short for Tamarama, a Sydney suburb famous for its outright hedonistic surf culture. It is gradually being taken over by a population of people active in the stock market, who after work run barefoot from to the ocean with a surfboard tucked under their arm. Geographically, the area is characterized by steep escarpments that surround the beach (much narrower than neighboring Bondi and Bronte). Comfortable home The dam is different from the others - unlike the numerous shoddy buildings located here, which were put up by the previous generation of surf enthusiasts.
The structure of the building, or what a comfortable house in Sydney is based on
Tama's Tee Home was built on solid ground from the previous house. About fifty percent of the previous structure was retained, including the huge sandstone retaining wall at the front and the garage below. The new concrete "Tee" structure at the front of the house was designed to rest on a single point of the garage structure. This will ensure that it can support the weight of the entire structure.
Comfortable home by taking into account special conditions
Architecture of the house due to its direct proximity to the ocean, must take into account the construction of the building with weather-resistant materials. Salt, humidity and wind are factors that can lead to rapid and irreversible decay. When used properly, concrete is quite resistant to such coastal aggression. Stainless steel roofing and stainless steel fasteners are also essential in this position.
Unusual design
Tama's Tee Home was adapted to the slope on which it was built. As a result, the house was built on as many as four floors. The main, living area of the house is located on the third floor and takes advantage of the ocean view and the covered terrace to the northwest, which is further protected from strong coastal winds.
Architect Raffaello Rosselli's project provided its own interpretation of the details and material palette for this exquisite beach house. It includes natural materials, an exposed roof framing and light finishes washed by the dappled and ever-changing light, which is filtered through specially designed blinds.
